Le projet éolien Chatham, de 101,2 MW, sera construit et géré par Kruger Énergie dans la Municipalité de Chatham-Kent. L'Office de l'électricité de l'Ontario (OPA) a sélectionné Kruger Énergie dans son troisième appel de propositions pour la production d'énergie renouvelable (RES III RFP). Le projet éolien Chatham, c’est plus que de l’électricité. C’est près de 300 millions $ d’investissements, 44 éoliennes, 60 emplois directs temporaires, une dizaine d’emplois permanents. C'est aussi des retombées financières indirectes pour les commerçants de la municipalité et des revenus à long terme pour la municipalité de Chatham-Kent.

The Chatham Wind Project is a 101.2-MW wind farm to be developed, constructed and commissioned by Kruger Energy in the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, Ontario. The Ontario Power Authority selected Kruger Energy through its third Request for Proposals for Renewable Energy Supply (RES III). Representing investments of nearly $300 million, the Chatham Wind Project will entail the construction of 44 wind turbines and bring several benefits to the region, such as the creation of nearly 60 direct jobs during the development and construction phases and 10 permanent jobs afterwards, as well as additional income for local businesses and long-term tax revenue for the municipality.
